Shorelines From Space

Lately, I've been obsessed with virtually cruising around the globe on Google maps. Here are a few shorelines that have caught my eye this week.

Desert bay in Southern Argentina

Mushroom jetty, central Japan

Tundra meets sea, Northern Russia

Rural Mexican gold mine

Industrial beach side, Sudan

Weird, offshore jetty's, Tel Aviv, Israel

Signature Trunks

In response to Bart's comment on the 'Mums The Word' video ("Where is the shot of Al's hot pink/yellow trunks?"), I bring you said trunks.

We caught a little tape of Chris Ward hiding out in Baja.

Sketches of Slims

Em and I went to see Dead To Me the other night at Slims here in San Francisco. When we got home we had a good old fashioned sketch off. We gave ourselves three minutes to sketch something we'd seen out that night. Here are my two favorites.

This is one is of Dead To Me bassist, Chicken.

...and this one is of the middle-aged woman who was getting down on the back edge of the mosh pit. She had some serious moves.

Scribbles and X's

I saw this shot of Dane Reynolds on the interweb and loved it, so I thought I'd scribble and put purple X's all over it (obviously). ok, bye for now.

Where Is My Mind?

This last fall I was the editor on a TV show called 'That Sucks'. Here's some footage that didn't make the show, but that I thought should see the light of day. All footage shot on the streets of San Francisco by Daniel Jarvis.

A couple of shots emailed to me by a nice lady, Liz, who snapped these during a glassy longboard session at Refugio.

Renaissance Mensch

At a recent dinner shindig at our friend Martin's house, I got the chance to check out his new photo lab snugly tucked into his strange sauna/ hall/ shower zone. Here's a few of the first shots he developed. They were taken last September at our Xanadude get-together in San Simeon.

Cut The Ribbon

I'm here. No one cares. Now I have to clean up all this confetti.
