Transbay Transit Terminal
Transbay Transit Terminal from Andy Miller on Vimeo.
The sprawling San Francisco Transbay Transit Terminal was permanently closed on August 7th, 2010, after 72 years, to make way for the new Transbay Transit Center, which is scheduled for completion in August, 2017.
The Transbay Transit Terminal had long been home to hundreds of homeless, because of it's shelter and accessible bathrooms. With the closing of the terminal most of the homeless have been forced to evacuate but some still remain.
Yesterday Robin and I went down there to capture a few images before it's completely torn down.

Two Scenes, One Commute
Market and 2nd from Andy Miller on Vimeo.
Building Dance from Andy Miller on Vimeo.
Last Thursday I brought my camera along with me for my commute home from the office, and I captured these two moments along the way. First, Market and 2nd, is a just snapshot of rush hour in downtown San Francisco. Then, once back in my neighborhood, I stumbled upon these women dancing on top of the Women's Building on 18th St.
Music by Miles Davis, and Abacus
'Building Dance' got featured on both MissionMission and SFist yesterday, thanks guys!

Protesting Arizona
Protesting Arizona from Andy Miller on Vimeo
This past week Arizona passed SB 1070, an immigration bill that basically gives police an "open invitation to harass and discriminate against Hispanics regardless of their citizenship status." In the wake of it's passage, protests have sprung up around the country, including here in San Francisco.
